Boring

Upon confirmation of an order, the properly kiln-dried and surfaced solid sawn or laminated distribution size stock is moved to our automatic boring machine for custom drilling to the desired pattern. Our boring machines have a capacity of 8,500 8-ft. crossarms in an 8-hour shift. The larger sawn or laminated transmission sizes are custom fabricated in our special transmission boring and fabrication department. At this stage, all materials are again inspected for grade and conformance to the purchaser's specifications.
