Surfacing Center

The next process for the kiln-dried lumber is surfacing in the surfacing center. Our two Stetson Ross planers are capable of surfacing up to 200,000 board feet per 8-hour shift, equivalent to 15,000 distribution crossarms 3-3/4" x 4-3/4" x 8'. After being sized to the net specified dimensions (+1/8?, -0?), all timbers are inspected again for conformance to specifications.
